2022 Subaru Forester
The Subaru Forester has come a long way, especially in terms of looks, from the first generation vehicle Forester. The boxy core design of the Forester has not changed much, but it now has a more slick and stylish look.

The Forester is available in seven different models. These models include:

The top of the range models all come with 17-inch rims and a more refined exterior finish.
What’s new?
When you look at the 2022 Forester SUV, you’ll notice it has chunky front headlamps, new wheel designs, and a freshly designed grille. Subaru has also introduced a new model to the Forester range: the Wilderness.It has a rugged look and additional ground clearance. It makes for the perfect crossover between the Sport and the Premier, retaining some of the classier notes of the Premier and the tough adventurer look of the Sport.
The interior of the Forester has a new optional feature that allows you to use gestures to control the climate control system. The upgraded camera sensors in the EyeSight driver assistance package make its field of view wider and expand its operating range. Additional safety features include the new Automatic Emergency Steering system. This uses the stereo camera and rear radar to detect lane markings to judge if there’s enough room to avoid collision safely.
As of 2022, all Forester models will have Subaru’s SI-drive driving mode selector, a torque vectoring system, an auto start-stop feature, and an electronic parking brake with auto hold.
Engine and performance

The Subaru Forester models are each fitted with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine that produces 182 horsepower and 176 pound-foot of torque. With this, you can tow 1,500 pounds. The Symmetrical Full-Time AWD system is standard on the Forester, ensuring you’re adventure-ready. X-Mode is available for the extra kick needed on more rugged terrain. Subaru has also added a Hill Descent Control feature to help on the way downslippery surfaces.
Interior, infotainment and connectivity
All Forester models, except the Base, come with a panoramic sunroof and have a spacious back seat with ample legroom. When the backseats are folded, the cargo capacity extends to 27 cubic feet.
The infotainment system on all the models uses Subaru’s latest Starlink interface and has a six-inch touch screen which can be upgraded to an eight-inch screen in the Sports model.
The six-inch is standard on the Base, Premier, and Sport model, while the eight-inch comes standard on the Touring and Limited models. Apple Carplay and Android Auto are both available features. It also has two USB charging ports in the front and an additional option of two charging ports for the passengers in the back.
